The main reason is that you will be the only one with access to your new home after changing the locks. Otherwise, you need to find out who else has the keys. Previous owners could have given keys to family members, handypersons, decorators, dog walkers, and even estate agents. Why take the risk?
Another excellent reason is to take advantage and upgrade your locks. Some uPVC locks are the old inferior snappable type, and wooden doors may be old three over non-British Standard. Your insurance company will also be pleased that you have taken these steps. Having a break-in will only cause your insurance premiums to rise in the future.
How do I go about getting the work done?
Contact us and explain that you need new locks for your home and are looking for a great price. If you can supply pictures of your locks, that would be even better. We can tailor a bespoke package just for you.
If you have not yet moved but want them done when you come in, that is all possible. The appointment can be booked in, and we have often arranged it to happen on the day you move in.
