Stephen  arrived  on time, had a look at my dodgy lock and talked  through what was the issue and what he was   going to do about it. He matched the locked to my door handle which was chrome  so it all looked better afterwards. The  lock was fitted perfect, he checked it several times inside and out to ensure the lock was working correctly.He was  very professional from start to finish, 100% recommend him to everyone.

Over the past couple the weeks the door became difficult to open and close and the mechanism appeared to be grinding. After a quick look on the Internet I phoned Mr.Fretwell at SF locksmith and explained the situation and told him I had a wife and two young children and could he sort the door before it became completely broken and we were either locked in or out. He answered the phone promptly and even gave an estimation of the cost over the phone. He said he would come early afternoon which he did and sorted the job in less than half an hour even though the actual lock was obselete. I would highly recommend SF Locksmiths and would not hesitate to use them again.

I was very worried when my old slide-and-tilt patio door decided to stop closing late on a Sunday night! Especially as I had a business trip the next week. Steve was able to come the next day and replace the broken parts there and then which was a huge load off my mind. He was also able to upgrade my door locks to anti-snap versions at the same time. I called SF Locksmith on Bank Holiday Monday due to a problem with our door. Steve wasn't working due to it being a Bank Holiday but said he would call me the next day. He called as promised and came out later that day and sorted our problem with a replacement locking mechanism and door handle. Steve was really friendly and did a great job. We were lucky enough to find Steve by chance when one of our door locks broke. He came to us within an hour or so and mended it. He subsequently returned when there was a minor problem with the same lock and repaired it without charge. He has since done some maintainance work and has been reliable, tidy and very reasonably priced. I would recommend him to anyone. He is a helpful, decent bloke.

Easy to use online enquiry form. I got a reply the same day (unexpectedly during that evening), to arrange a telephone call to discuss. Next morning Stephen came out, confirmed the “diagnosis”, explained the remedy and provided a quotation, and had on board all the parts and tools to be able to proceed with the work there and then. Whilst here, he was very efficient, chatty, friendly and thorough. Within half an hour he had been and gone, and my front door opens and closes properly now! Would recommend Stephen all day long.

Steve was very helpful in showing the new anti snap handles and locks to me, to reassure they were going to be safe, after we had just been broken into. He explained that it was extremely hard for anyone to break in with the new handles and locks on. He completed the job in about 20-30mins, and the price was very reasonable. After having our locking mechanism fail on our front door, we called Stephen after a recommendation from a family member. He fitted us in at short notice, arrived when he said he would, and changed all the locking mechanism and handles. He squared the door up, so there are no more drafts, and explained what he was doing and why, which helped us understand what we were paying for (always a bonus!) We can highly recommend his work, he’s fairly priced and a pleasure to deal with, we will be using his services again.

I called at 3pm and even though on phone to another customer called me back within 5 mins.... and arrived at the house on Friday afternoon and fixed the door within the hour ! I am a first time customer and trusted to pay via BACS... must admit I have not done so yet as been a busy week so shattered from work but will do in the morning.... Just what a professional service should be. Nothing but the best experience from the moment I clicked on the SF website. The multipoint lock failed in the locked position on our double glazed front door. I was expecting a huge bill to repair, or even a new door. SF came round within 2 hrs. I would highly recommend Stephen Fretwell of SF Locksmiths. Stephen called today to replace the multi point locking system in our UPVC door, which had stuck in the closed position. Stephen opened the door without causing any damage, not even a mark on the door! He then replaced the complete locking mechanism in the door. Stephen is very knowledgable and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and the price was very good. Great guy, great company, great workmanship, I would definately use this company again, I have already recommended him to family and friends!
